Services for Seniors
Area Agency on Aging - The Weld County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), located in the Department of Human Services, receives funding from the Federal Older Americans Act and the Older Coloradoans Fund to provide services to Weld County residents who are 60 and older.
Adult Protection - Adult Protective Services (APS) provides protection for at-risk adults by investigating allegations of abuse, exploitation, caretaker neglect and self neglect.
Health and Wellness - The Weld Aging Well Program was established in correlation with the Administration on Aging’s Health, Prevention, and Wellness Program to focus on the utilization of evidence-based self-management programs.
Nutrition - The Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritious and delicious noon-time meals for seniors served at twenty-two sites throughout Weld County. Social and educational opportunities are also available before and after meals. Participants are provided with an opportunity to voluntarily contribute whatever they can afford to help offset the cost of the meal.
