Open house for I-25 east parallel project

Weld County, Larimer County, the Towns of Mead, Berthoud, and Johnstown, along with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), are collectively facilitating an initial planning and design effort for a new arterial roadway east of I-25. The project is a north/south roadway spanning approximately 14 miles from Weld County Road (WCR) 32 on WCR 9 ½ and to Ronald Reagan Boulevard/Larimer County Road (LCR) 3.

The initial planning and design effort will identify a roadway alignment and necessary right-of-way along the roadway corridor. The project will also consist of improvements to existing sections of WCR 9 ½ and LCR 3, as well as new roadway alignments throughout the 14-mile stretch.

As segments of the roadway are designed and constructed, these projects will be managed by the appropriate local agency.

Construction is expected through some portions of the new parallel arterial over the next two to five years as communities and developments are designed and constructed along the north I-25 corridor.

There will be a brief presentation about the project followed by Q&A.
