Volunteer board members honored for their service to Weld CountyThis week, Weld County Commissioners thanked and issued Recognition of Services Awards to two individuals for their time, effort and service to two volunteer advisory boards aimed at helping Weld County residents and businesses.

Ralph Kreitler received a Recognition of Services Award for six years of service as a member of the Weld/Larimer Revolving Loan Fund Committee. Members of this board represent Weld and Larimer County regarding loans for Community Development Block Fund Grants. They assist businesses in reviewing loan applications, and the committee serves as a credit committee for a loan program administered by the Upstate Colorado Economic Development Board.

Dr. Susan Carter also received a Recognition of Services Award for her six years of service on the North Colorado Medical Center Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees works as a liaison between North Colorado Medical Center and Weld County Commissioners. Members of the board work to identify community needs concerning hospital services.

“Both Mr. Kreitler and Dr. Carter have done tremendous things for Weld County by serving on these boards,” Weld County Commissioner Chair Steve Moreno said. “Their service is invaluable to Weld County. Their effort is appreciated and goes a long way in making Weld County the best it can be for everyone.”
