Weld County Public Works has been working on an Access Control Plan for Weld County Road (WCR) 47 between WCR 60.5 and State Highway 392 in order to improve safety on the corridor and prepare for the road to be widened, which we anticipate commencing in 2018. Weld County Public Works held a neighborhood meeting on September 14, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, and presented a draft of the WCR 47 Access Control Plan to owners of land along the corridor.
The draft ACP can be accessed by clicking here.
The Powerpoint slides can be downloaded by clicking here.
Please provide any comments to Jim Flesher, Transportation Planner, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The ACP will be presented to the Weld County Board of County Commissioners for adoption by resolution at a regular Board meeting on a date yet to be determined.
Access control plans supplement the regulations on access to County roads found in the County Code by analyzing the conditions specific to a particular road, the existing accesses on it, and alternative (side road) access.
On December 14, 2015, the Weld County Board of County Commissioners adopted the Weld County Parkway Access Control Plan, which can be found on this webpage. The Weld County Road 49 Access Control Plan and CDOT’s US 85 Access Control Plan are also available on this page.
Upcoming and future access control plan efforts include WCR 29 north of State Highway 392 and WCR 54 from Kersey west.
Please also see the Public Works Permits page of our website.
