Give yourself the gift of becoming smoke-free this holiday season

Quitting smoking during this time of the year may be even tougher for those who smoke, but it can also be the perfect gift for you and your family this holiday season. Becoming smoke-free can be hard and takes commitment, but it starts with a plan and a lot of support on your path to a lifetime of better health.

The Colorado QuitLine (1-800-QUIT-NOW) offers free coaching and medication to help adults quit tobacco at coquitline.org. Young people ages 12-18 can also enroll for free coaching at coyouthquitline.org.

Free in-person, individualized quitting support is also available to residents of Weld County with the Tobacco Treatment Specialist service offered through the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. Along with making a quit plan, you'll learn about tips to quit and stay smoke-free, as well as medications to help you quit. Call (970) 304-6420 to schedule an appointment.
