Child care facilityChild care centers in Weld County are inspected biannually to ensure compliance with the Rules and Regulations Governing the Sanitation of Child Care Centers in the State of Colorado.

Updated Regulations Require Radon Testing

The Rules and Regulations Governing the Health and Sanitation of Child Care Facilities in the State of Colorado require radon testing to be completed in all child care facilities by May 1, 2017, if the facility was in operation before January 14, 2016, or within 6 months if licensed after January 14, 2016. FREE Short-Term Radon Test Kits 

Weld County offers up to six short-term radon test kits to each child care facility licensed in Weld County that still needs to meet this requirement. To receive the test kits, at least one person from each facility must complete CDPHE’s online training. For more information on this program, call (970) 400-2226.
