Goat Shows

The Boer, Dairy, and Pygmy shows are sanctioned by ABGA, ADGA, and NPGA respectively, and their rules shall govern. Commercial (non-registered) classes are offered in the meat goat show. High Point champions in ABGA shows #1 and #2 will receive a buckle, to qualify for the buckle you must show in both shows.  For more information about the COPGC show, contact Mandi Wilkins at 720-495-9619 or wilkinsmandi@yahoo.comNo Fiber Goat Show in 2018.

Weigh-Back System

The WCGE will be using a weigh back system this year for commercial bucks & does less than 12 months old only. A weight card will be obtained when the exhibitor checks in. The exhibitor must fill out and turn in the weight card at check-in with a called/declared weight. This will become the animal’s official weight. Commercial goats will be divided into classes according to weight. The top two placing animals in each class for commercial classes < 12 months will be weighed. No reweighs will be allowed once the animal has stepped off the scale. There will be a 5% tolerance from the declared weight and the show ring weight. All animals outside of the 5% tolerance will be disqualified.

Premiums will be paid in the Boer and Dairy shows for 1st-5th placings ($5, $4, $3, $2, $1). Premiums will be available after each show has concluded. Premiums must be picked up at the show; they will not be mailed.
