Facebook IconThe purpose of the Weld County Goat Extravaganza (WCGE) is to provide you with opportunities and knowledge that will help you with your goat enterprise. This is our 19th Annual event; we hope you can attend!

Features at this year’s event include:

  • Educational seminars covering key topics of interest to goat breeders
  • Jackpot Showmanship Contests
  • Jackpot Prospect Market Goat Show
  • Goat Shows include:  Triple Boer Goat Show, Triple Dairy Goat Show and Double Pygmy Goat Show

New for the 2021 WCGE Show:

  • Individual goat species pages (Boer Goats & Market Goats, Dairy Goats and Pygmy Goats), that includes schedule of events that only pertain to that species.
  • The Junior Market Jackpot Showmanship is now moved to Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
  • The Jackpot Prospect Market Goat Show will immediately follow the Junior Market Jackpot Showmanship.
  • American Boer Goat Association (ABGA), Junior American Boer Goat Association (JABGA) and Commercial Shows have added a third show; two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
  • American Dairy Goat Association has added a third show - Junior Doe Show on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., Buck Show on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Senior Doe Show on Sunday following showmanship.
  • The fees associated with the JABGA shows have been reduced to $10 per show.
  • The Pygmy Goat Show will have two WCGE shows.
  • We will only have one educational seminar, repeated twice, 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – Topic To Be Announced.
  • WCGE is sponsoring one $500 scholarship this year, more details on our website soon on the scholarship page.
  • COVID-19: Added safety and sanitation measures will be in place at the show. The Weld County Goat Extravaganza requests all exhibitors to follow all local/state Directed Health Measures and recommendations by the CDC. At this time, that includes 6’ social distancing, and the use of masks when inside a building. At the request of our judges, exhibitors will be REQUIRED to wear a mask anytime they are in close physical contact with show staff and judges (I.E. tattoo checks & signing sanction papers.) Exhibitors are asked to bring their own masks for these instances, however disposable masks will be available at the show table if needed. Hand Sanitizer will also be provided at the show table, and there are ample restrooms available for hand washing.
