Extension Advisory Council

We have board openings!


Advises the CSU Extension Office regarding its program efforts and budget decisions. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Extension programs including: 4-H youth development, livestock, horticulture, agriculture, family and consumer sciences, and nutrition education. Serves as a communication link between legislators, commissioners and residents.

Time Commitment:

Two hours per month; the council meets bi-monthly at noon.

Qualifications Needed:

Varies on positions available. For 4-H related positions, the ideal candidate would have experience in youth development. For crop sciences and agriculture positions, a background in agriculture is necessary.

Current Openings:

One (1) media representative - An individual with knowledge of the media market in Weld County and Northern Colorado who can advise Extension on how to promote its programs to the public.

One (1) livestock representative - An individual involved in a farming or ranching enterprise that includes
livestock production.
