Accounting

Receives and disburses Weld County's operating funds. Accounts for income, payments, balances, assets, and more.

Assessor

Discovers, lists, classifies and values all property in the County for property tax purposes.

Buildings and Grounds

Repairs and maintains landscaping of the grounds, nighttime security, and snow removal.

Building

Implements the adopted Comprehensive Plan, Weld County Code, and Building Codes.

Clerk and Recorder

Processes and preserves documents. Provides election resources. Enables titling and licensing all motor vehicles.

Commissioners

Weld County Commissioners are the statutory head of Weld County's government.

Coroner

Provides a timely, proactive investigation to determine cause and manner of death.

County Attorney

Represents county officers, employees, and appointed boards and commissions.

CSU Extension

Provides information and education, and encourages the application of research-based knowledge in response to local, state, and national issues affecting individuals, youth, families, dairy, livestock/agricultural enterprises, and communities of Colorado.

County Council

Reviews all aspects of County government and makes periodic written reports for the people of Weld County.

District Attorney

Represents the people in all state criminal actions brought within the Nineteenth Judicial District.

Geographic Information Systems

Provides mapping services and geographic analysis capabilities to Weld County Departments.

Health and Environment

Preserves, promotes and protects the health and environment of the residents of Weld County.

Human Resources

Assists in hiring. Oversees policies, assists employees, establishes job classifications, and compensation.

Human Services

Child Protection, financial assistance, job skills, child support, and services for older population.

Justice Services

Develops and manages criminal justice system functions. Pretrial Services and Community Correctional programs.

Office of Emergency Management

Plans response to emergencies and disasters, and coordinates activities during actual events.

Planning and Zoning

Provides a consistent review of individual land-use matters through chapters adopted into the Weld County Code.

Public Safety Communications

Serves 41 Law, Fire and Medical agencies covering approximately 4,000 square miles in and outside of Weld County.

Public Works

Provides for maintenance and construction of roads, bridges and storm drainage facilities in the public right-of-way.

Purchasing

Administers bid proposals. Ensures efficient, open, and competitive bidding on all purchases.

Sheriff

Provides public safety services. The Jail will accept and lawfully hold prisoners in a safe, humane, wholesome environment.

Treasurer

Collects all county property taxes, makes distribution of those taxes, and invests the difference on behalf of the County.

Veterans Services

Assists residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents to obtain any and all VA benefits for which they may be eligible.
