Unemployment Insurance Claims Data
Unemployment insurance (UI)
provides temporary financial assistance to workers who are unemployed through
no fault of their own. Businesses, such as yours, pay into State unemployment
tax. The tax is used solely for payments to eligible UI claimants.

Utilizing the claims data that
the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) provides each week,
Business Services has developed charts specific to Weld County. Weekly
detailed claims data are available on a 2-3 week lag. These claims data are NOT
directly comparable to the state-level data the Colorado Department of Labor
and Employment submits to the Employment and Training Administration every
week. Totals differ due to timing and definitional differences between this
collection of claims data and the official weekly figures. All County-level
claims are on the bases of the claimant's place of residence, not their former
place of work. Industry-level data does not include claims where the industry
is unknown or not available.
