Housing Authority Board Agendas and Minutes

The Weld County Housing Authority is a five-member body comprised of the Board of County Commissioners to help meet County needs for decent and affordable housing.  The Housing Authority, in past years, has focused in two areas: rental assistance programs and housing rehabilitation services. The HUD Section 8 Existing Program enables families who ordinarily would not be able to afford it, the opportunity to live in decent, privately owned housing. Through the program, eligible families pay no more than 30% of their monthly income for rent and may find any type of housing as long as the housing meets HUD housing quality standards. Funding for the Section 8 Existing Program comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Housing Authority has provided housing rehabilitation services in the County since 1983. Housing rehabilitation services are available through two programs: the owner occupied program and the rental rehabilitation program. Funds are provided to eligible owner-occupants as a deferred payment loan or as straight loan. The rental rehabilitation program requires rental property owners to provide matching dollars toward rehabilitation costs.

To search for a past Agenda, Minutes, or document on the Housing Authority Board's Agenda, please select:
Commissioner Record Search, and then select 'I Acknowledge'.

1. Agendas: Enter the date of the hearing under 'Hearing Date' in both the 'Start' and 'End' fields, and choose the 'Doc Code' of 'AG - Agenda'.
2. Minutes: Enter the date of the hearing under 'Hearing Date' in both the 'Start' and 'End' fields, and choose the 'Doc Code' of 'MI-HA - Minutes - Housing Authority'.
3. Documents on the Housing Authority Board's Agenda: If you are already viewing an Agenda, enter the corresponding document number under the 'Doc #' field. Document numbers are located on the Agenda in brackets next to each item of business. I.E. [2019-####] or [2020-####].
4. Select 'Search'.
5. Select the item you wish to view.
6. Select 'View Attachment' on the left-hand side of the screen.
