Should there be an emergency or disaster, man-made or natural, that affects Weld County government operations, the Board of County Commissioners wants you to know your government will still be operational and working for you.
A Continuity of Government (COG) plan is ready to be implemented at a moment’s notice.
Members of the COG team, which consist of employees from each of the county’s five departments and the Board of County Commissioners, meet monthly to review and update Continuity of Government and Continuity of Operations plans. The COG team also receives training on emergency procedures.
The COG team works in conjunction with Weld County’s Office of Emergency Management to ensure government operations continue during a crisis.
