The Weld County Board of Commissioners recently recognized the service of two Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board members upon the completion of their terms, and also appointed four new members.
The commissioners each personally thanked Alice Boyle, who has served for three years on the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board, and Linda Banghart, who served six years, for their voluntary time commitment on the board. This board works to monitor programs for older adults and advise the commissioners on funding services for the elderly (such as home healthcare, transportation, nutrition, and legal services.)
“We can’t overstate the importance of the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board and the members that serve on it,” said Commissioner Chair Julie Cozad. “The members of this board work to protect and care for members of our community that are often most in need of protection and care. This board’s voluntary work provides a great service.”
In addition to recognizing Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board members upon the expiration of their terms, the commissioners also reappointed members: Ken Norem, Roberta Speyer, Mary Jones, and James Riesberg were all reappointed, with terms set to expire January 31, 2020.
