The Board of Commissioners took time at Wednesday’s board meeting to recognize six Weld residents for their service on Weld County boards, as well as to appoint and reappoint other Weld board members.
The commissioners personally thanked Dr. Mary Freitag and Sandra Crouse for their work on the Workforce Development Board, Dalee McIntosh and Mark Romero for their work on the Juvenile Community Review Board, and, finally, David Droegemueller and Judy Noel for their work on the Noxious Weed Management Advisory Board.
“Serving on a Weld County board is entirely voluntary,” said Commissioner Chair Julie Cozad. “Our boards and commissions do vital work—work that would be impossible without these great members that are willing to step forward and dedicate their time.”
In addition to these recognitions, the board also appointed a new member to the Noxious Weed Management Advisory Board, Chuck Birkemeyer. They also reappointed members to the Workforce Development Board: Davis Thompson, Richard Werner, Susan Ditson, Peter Freeman, and Richard Byrne.
