When Weld County offices closed their lobbies to the public due to COVID-19, the Commissioners wanted to maintain a connection with residents and provide updates on county projects and information. So, a live-stream component was initiated following the usual 9:00 a.m. Board Meeting. Residents were invited to watch live, or to view on-demand, to learn more about the County's response to COVID-19. Residents were also encouraged to email questions to the Board, which were answered at the weekly streamed meeting. When the County buildings re-opened to the public, the live-stream updates were discontinued.
Recognizing that people are getting back to somewhat normal schedules with work and school, and continuing to want to explore new ways to engage with Weld County residents, the Commissioners temporarily relaunched the 15-20 minute live-stream update.
From September 14, 2020, through December 21, 2020, following the 9:00 a.m. Board meetings, the Commissioners answered public questions (emailed to askthecommissioners@weldgov.com) and provided updates on County projects. Viewers could either watch live or on-demand as their schedule allows.
