Commissioner Livestream returns Sept. 14

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 14, the Board of Weld County Commissioners will resume their weekly livestreamed update of county projects and information. The public can watch the 15-30-minute update live via the county’s website or on-demand as their schedule allows.

“We feel it’s important to continue using various platforms to share with the public information about the projects county government is working on,” said Commissioner Chairman Mike Freeman.

Commissioners originally launched the informative livestream on April 8, when county buildings closed to the public in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. In addition to commissioners speaking about county government projects, residents were encouraged to email their comments and questions regarding the county’s response to COVID-19. The livestreams continued weekly until county lobbies reopened in early May.

“We know there likely won’t be a lot of people who can watch the livestream,” said Freeman, “but the fact that people can watch at their leisure after the livestream will hopefully entice more residents to engage with their county government. We have the technology, and we are continually looking at new ways we can get information to our residents.”

The public can email comments and questions about anything county-government related to Emails received by Thursday at 5:00 p.m. will be passed along to the Board for response on the Monday stream.

To view the stream either live or on-demand, go to and scroll to the appropriate “Commissioners Public Update” file in the “Most Recent Events” box on the page.

Commissioner County Update streams will begin at 9:30 a.m. each Monday morning. Because this follows the bi-weekly Board of Commissioner meetings, some streams may be delayed until the board meeting concludes. If this is the case, you may need to refresh your browser after the streaming of the board meeting end in order to view the new update stream.
