Come serve on an advisory board or commission

If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity that also directly serves your community, look no further than one of Weld County Government’s Advisory Boards or Commissions.

Eight boards are seeking new members to fill various positions including: The Area Agency on Aging, Building Trades Advisory Committee, Child Protection Citizen Review Panel, Extension Advisory Council, Greeley Weld Housing Authority Board, Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals, Weld Faith Partnership Council and the Workforce Development Board.

“When you serve as a volunteer on an advisory board or commission, you have the opportunity to provide input that contributes to the county’s decision-making process,” Weld County Chair Steve Moreno said. “The county and its citizens, in turn, benefit from your service.”

These opportunities also allow citizens a chance to work alongside each other and county staff to share ideas about how services can be strengthened to have the greatest benefit. Volunteering is a great way to enhance your knowledge of county government and become an advocate for the many programs and services that Weld County Government offers to residents.

Applications are being accepted through February 19, 2021.
