Human Services Advisory Commission

HSAC Logo The Human Services Advisory Commission (HSAC) serves in an advisory capacity for the Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS), as well as multiple Human Services programs that are funded through State and County resources.

Specifically, the HSAC will advise on requirements related to the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), a federally funded program that provides resources to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in communities; serve as the “Placement Alternatives Commission” (PAC) for Weld County in relation to out-of-home placement allocations, Core Services and other specific intervention and prevention programming; and advise on the evaluation of the overall effectiveness of Weld County programs designed to prevent or reduce out-of-home placement of children and youth involved in the Child Welfare system.  The HSAC will also function as the “Family Preservation Commission” for Weld County in alignment with State rule and regulation for review and reporting requirements.
