Health Department Welcomes New Medical Advisors

Weld County — The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) welcomes three medical advisors: Dr. Erin Morley, Dr. Kyle Waugh, and Dr. Maria Gallo. The physicians will be part of the Department’s Medical Doctor Consultation Clinic within the Public Health Services (PHS) Division. The PHS Division offers clinical services such as immunizations, reproductive health services, and prenatal services, and houses disease prevention and control programs. “With a breadth of experience, these experts will provide the medical oversight necessary for the Department to continue to offer robust clinical services programs,” says Mark Lawley, WCDPHE Deputy Director. The medical advisors will provide the PHS Division’s registered and advanced practice nurses the opportunity to seek limited consultations and treatments on clients receiving services in the Department’s clinical programs.
Erin J. Morley, M.D., is a board-certified specialist in family medicine. She went to medical school at the University of Kansas, Salina, and completed her residency at North Colorado Family Medicine. Her special interests include full-spectrum family medicine, obstetrics, women’s health and contraceptive management, and adult and pediatric medicine. Dr. Morley is married with two children. She was born in the Philippines and traveled the world with her family doing mission work until finally settling in Colorado, which she considers home. She is glad to be back in Colorado to raise her family. Dr. Morley provides support for women’s health and immunizations services at WCDPHE.
Kyle B. Waugh, M.D., is a board-certified specialist in family medicine. He completed both medical school and his residency at the University of Oklahoma. His special interests include broad-spectrum family medicine. Dr. Waugh provides tuberculosis consultation for the Department’s TB program.
Maria E. Gallo, D.O., is a board-certified specialist in family medicine. She went to medical school at Rocky Vista University in Parker and completed her residency at North Colorado Family Medicine. Her special interests include whole-family care from infants to elderly including obstetrics with C-sections and post-partum tubal ligations. Dr. Gallo was born and raised in Colorado. She enjoys working with the refugee community and is a member of a disaster relief team. Dr. Gallo provides support for women’s health and immunizations services at WCDPHE.
